Description[]
Vampirism is a magical effect that can be caused by the player and devourment weapons. While the effect is active, all creatures will drop crystal shards when killed (they do not have to be killed by the player). There are 3 types of shards: health (restores health), energy (restores energy) and black (deals damage).
The type of shard dropped depends on the nature (type) of the killed creature:
- Undead: Black shard.
- Common creatures: Health shard.
- Cybernetic creatures: Energy shard.
- Demonic creatures: Demons drop black shards and Ancient demons drop health shards.
- Magical creatures: Any shard.
How to get this effect[]
- Scroll of Vampirism: Vampirism for ~60 turns.
- Strange Fruit: Vampirism for ~15 turns.
- Paladin (1.0 and 2.0): Chance to gain Vampirism for 1-2 turns when killing a creature.
- Healing potions may activate vampirism if you have the Agroalchemist perk.
- Rings if you have the Lord of the Rings perk.
Notes[]
- Devourment crystals (which are key components of the weapons type of the same name) are capable of crystallizing the life energy of killed creatures.
- The Wand of vampirism steals life energy from the target and uses it to heal the user.
