Description[]
Invisibility is a magical effect that turns the user invisible to other beings. However, the user can still be damaged while invisible. Attacking while invisible unmasks the invisibility with the only exception being when the user is using a Grenade gun. When attacking while invisible, the chance of a critical hit is increased by 70-80% (for wands it is increased by 10-15%).
The invisibility differs slightly depending on whether it is used by the player or by an unit:
- The player can remain invisible for a limited number of turns, while the vast majority of units have unlimited invisibility.
- The player, is protected from many dangers while invisible, a protection that no one else has: sparks from wands and arc weapons do not fall on the tiles where the player is, immunity to area damage from hammers, shotguns and lightning. But explosions still cause damage to the player.
Methods of obtaining[]
- Scroll of Invisibility - Applies invisibility for ~15 turns.
- Shadow electric bomb - The thrower gains invisibility for 3-4 turns.
- Shadow weapons - Invisibility for 2-3 turns on a miss.
- Shadow armor plate -10% chance to become invisible for 2-3 turns when receiving damage.
- Shadow Medallion - 15% to become invisible chance for 2-3 turns when receiving damage.
- Energy shield "Shadow" - Invisibility for 1-2 turns when the shield is destroyed.
- Book of Chaos - Chance of invisibility for 2-5 turns when reading the scroll.
- Wand of Illusions - Invisibility for 2-3 turns when used.
- Sentinel armor - 15% chance to use invisibility for 2-3 turns when receiving damage.
- Strange Fruit - Chance of invisibility for ~5 turns.
- Any ring if you have the Lord of the Rings perk.
- A healing potion if you have the Alchemist perk.
Consumption of available turns[]
Different actions when invisible consume different amounts of remaining turns of invisibility:
- Doing nothing, moving or using a potion: 1 turn
- Using a consumable for which you do not need to select a target (including a map scanner): 2 turns
- Using a consumable for which you need to select a target: 4-5 turns
- Energy impulse: 5 turns
- Using a Grenade gun: 4 turns
- Attack: Effect is lost instantly
- Ghost, Ghost 2.0, Hunter: Attacking when invisibility is active will not remove the effect
Units that use invisibility[]
- Bosses: Skeleton King, Portal Guardian, Illusory Portal Guardian, Illusory Cyber Guardian, Cyber Chaos Guardian, Super Terminator T-40, Assault Necromech, Omega Cyber Priest, Chaos Omega Cyber Priest.
- Red, Green, and Necro sentinels .
- Goblins: Hunter, Stalker, Pathfinder, Mechanic, Pyromancer and Shadow Thief.
- Robots: Stealth Cyborg Skeleton T-18, Blinker Cyborg Skeleton T-19, Assault Destroyer T-22, Shadow Cyborg Skeleton T-17 and Shadow Spidermines.
- Any ancient demon with the exception of the Shadow Trooper.
- Master.
