Flamethrowers

Flamethrowers are mechanical incendiary devices designed to project a controllable stream of fire.

In Cavesrl Flamethrowers are rare but powerful weapons suited for mid-close combat, they are one of the few weapons that can shoot even if the targeted tile is empty and for this reason they are great at crowd control. Flamethrowers are great support weapons as the continous damage dealt by their flames is very useful in most situations you may find yourself in, and flamethrowers have almost no need to reload at all because all of the fuel used on this weapon is aways stored in one single "fuel-tank", all flamethrowers use an unique ammo type know has "Flamethrower Fuel".

However, Flamethrowers are nearly useless if your target has some sort of fire resistance or if it is completaly immune to fire.

Quality Variations:

Unlike most weapons, Flamethrowers are always found in perfect quality, with a few minor differences on each model such as fuel consuption and initial damage.

Special Variants:

Name Bonuses
Necro Flamethrower
  • Deals fire Damage
  • Ignites targeted tiles
  • Chance to summon allied skeletons

Energy Weapons

Energy Weapons are special weapons that can be found with some ease at mid-to-late game, being usually used by Robots and Elites, there are several types of energy weapons including a few melee weapons, however most of them use the player's energy as ammo.

Ranged Energy weapons.

This is the most common type of energy weapons, they are usually more powerful than a firearm, having shorter reload time and higher damage, but they consume the player's energy to work properly.

Desintegrator

Desintegrators powerful ranged weapons, that will deal very high damage to any target choosen in exchange for a high amount of energy, and although they are described as "experimental" they are quite common mid game being dropped by a few Robots or found inside lockers in a few Ancient Ruins.

Phase Gun

Phase guns are one of the most common energy weapons you can find, they deal less damage and will waste less energy than a Desintegrator, they have an unique ability know as "Chain Reaction" that allows the user to hit several enemies at once.

Some variants of the Phase Gun can be found below:

Name Feature
Phase Gun T-4 +5% Critical chance

+5% Critical DMG

Phase Repeater

An alternative version of the Phase Gun, they deal less damage per shoot, and will consume even less energy than their single-shot counterpart, however they shoot 3 energy bolts per attack and still posses the "Chain Reaction" ability.

Some variants of the Phase Repeater can be found below:

Name Feature
Phase Repeater T-2 +5% Critical chance
Phase Repeater T-3 +10% Critical DMG
Phase Repeater T-4 +5% Critical chance

Type-6 "Eraser"

The Type-6 is one of the most powerful energy weapons in Cavesrl, being one of the strongest weapons even in the hands of characters with poor ranged skill, when used it causes a violent plasma explosion that will deal very high damage to any entity on the affected area and will destroy even the strongest walls, it uses "Plasma Charge" as ammo instead of your energy.

However, this weapon is an experiment that never made out of the prototype phase, so use it with extreme caution.

Type-8 "Mjonir"

The Type-8 is one of the most powerful energy weapons in Cavesrl, being one of the strongest weapons even in the hands of characters with poor ranged skill, when used it causes an extremaly deadly explosion in a small area followed by several lighting strikes, it uses "Energy Charge" as ammo instead of your energy.

However, this weapon is an experiment that never made out of the prototype phase, so use it with extreme caution.
